Exhibit 9 - Mask, Clone stamp, Spot healing brush
Polar Express Poster
It seems that almost every year at Christmas time I am a part of a Polar Express party of some kind, either a ward party, a big family party, or a birthday party. This year my mom's ward is having one and she is in charge of publicity. So, I made this to help her this year and to have on hand for future years. I wanted it to look like the train was coming out of a dream, so I combined the two pictures below to get the look I wanted. I liked the look of the black train for the Polar Express, but I liked the background of the other picture. So, I used content aware to take the train and moon out of the photo, and also the clone stamp to create the background large enough to cover the entire poster. I also used the spot healing brush to help blend it. I used a mask to put the black train on the background, and I also used an adjustment layer to change the hue and make the blue look the way it does. I put the text on the right side, but right justification so it looks like the train is driving into the text. I wanted the words "Polar Express" and "Believe" to stand out. I really like the look that I ended up with.
