Exhibit 21 - Take Me Out to the Ballgame!
Blending Modes, Adjustments, and Content Aware
Design Thought: For this exhibit I took some action shots from some little league baseball games and tried to edit them to feel like old time baseball pictures. I love these pictures and feel like they capture the emotion of the game. I used blending modes and adjustments in Photoshop to try and create an old time baseball look.
Photoshop skills/tools used:
Photoshop skills/tools used:
- I placed the image in Photoshop and opened several different textures and placed them on different layers, and then used different blending modes to create this look.
- The opacity was adjusted on several of the layers with textures.
- After the blending modes were done I created several adjustment layers to change to coloring and brightness of the photos.
- I used Content Aware to crop people out of the pictures.
- I created a ball in the first photo because I felt like it needed one.
- I used Smart Filter and used camera raw to brighten up the face on a couple of the shots.
- I merged two photos together to extend the canvas in the base running picture.
- I used the blur tool to blur out some of the background.
