Exhibit 14 - Masking, Curves, Hue and Saturation
Five generation photo
I love this picture of my Great-Grandma looking in the mirror. I thought it would be fun to create an image of her looking at herself in the mirror and seeing her generations that follow.

I love this picture of my Great-Grandma looking in the mirror. I thought it would be fun to create an image of her looking at herself in the mirror and seeing her generations that follow.
Photoshop skills/tools used:
- I started out by getting the picture of my Great-Grandmas and combining it with the 4 generation picture. I put the 4 generation picture inside of the mirror by creating a mask. I first just made it a black and white mask, so that you couldn't see any of her own reflection in it, and then I decided that I wanted to have a little bit of her own reflection coming through, so I gave it a gradient, and then used my white and black paint brush with a lower opacity to add and take away where I needed.
- I used the curved adjustments to brighten the 4 generation photo a little bit.
- I used the hue/saturation adjustment to take out a little bit of color.
- I used the clone stamp to create the top part of the frame.
- I used the content aware to fill the blue above the created frame.
